Fueling up before and after a dive is crucial. Plus it makes for a happy diver. Listed below are some of our favorite spots to grab a bite or a cold one! Please keep in mind most places run on “island time” so hours and days of operation tend to vary depending on the season, power outages, rain delays, or someone needing to visit the BMV.
Polly’s at the Pier: Fresh breakfast, lunch, and coffee made daily at 8:00 AM right around the corner from the dive shop.
Rhythms at Rainbow Beach: A local watering hole for that after-dive burger, fresh fish sandwich, or cocktails right on the beach and only a mile from the dive shop.
Louie and Nachos: Tacos, salads, and cocktails are the favorites here. And the kitchen stays open until 10:00 PM most nights.
Smoke STX: Great BBQ for take-out or eat at one of their outdoor picnic tables! The smoked mac-n-cheese is a must!
The Lost Dog: A Frederiksted institution for pizza and beers as well as the late night party crowd! Kitchen opens at 4:00 PM and closes around 10:00 PM.
Turtle’s Deli: They have the best and biggest sandwiches you could ask for! It certainly is not fast food but it’s very good. Open until 3:00 PM.
Tap Deck Bar & Billiards: The first West End bar with air-conditioning. They are known for their flatbread pizzas, cheese boards, and beer on tap! They also have a balcony that overlooks the Pier.
Beach Side Cafe: Located at Sand Castle On The Beach and a great place for a quiet beachside lunch or dinner.
Braata: Is gourmet West Indian cuisine and rum bar located in the courtyard right behind the dive shop.
Cibone: Offers fine dining right in Frederiksted with Caribbean favorites and seafood specials. Open for dinner and Sunday brunch.
Cafe 840: Offers CBD, coffee, sangria and cocktails.
West Yam Yam: Local fast food cafe open daily and late. Be sure to order their curly fries!
Eat With Fred: Beachside bar at The Fred is open and restaurant is coming soon!
